Dr Tan graduated from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Pathologists. He has held appointments at a number of Hospitals.
Dr Tan was an Intern and Resident Medical Officer with Eastern Health before moving to Darwin to commence his training in Anatomical Pathology as a Registrar at the Royal Darwin Hospital. He moved to Queensland to complete his training, which included working at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Tan joined Melbourne Pathology in early 2011 and works in all areas of anatomical pathology, and has an interest in gastrointestinal and dermatopathology.
