Melbourne Pathology is pleased to offer Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing for organisations seeking to test their employees.

How does it work?
Melbourne Pathology will provide you with a personalised electronic (PDF editable) request form for your employees to use for COVID-19 testing.

Dedicated COVID-19 collection sites
We can supply the request form and your employees can attend one of our dedicated COVID-19 drive-thru sites (listed below), where the procedure will be completed by one of our trained and professional collectors.

Collection centres with COVID testing for ASYMPTOMATIC corporate employees (no bookings).

We can supply the request form and your employees can attend one of our collection centres listed below. This option is for ASYMPTOMATIC people only and they MUST have a corporate request form. No onsite COVID testing performed at these sites for patients with symptoms.

Onsite collection for large groups
Our COVID-19 collection team can visit onsite where there are large groups requiring testing subject to availability.

All collectors wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Results
Results will be made available to the employer through our online Results program – Sonic Dx Results. You will be given a username and password to check results. Patients will also receive an SMS with their result (positive or 'not detected') if they provide a mobile number. All positive results are notified to DHHS.

Important note:
If the testing is surveillance testing for organisations, and so long as the employee does not have any COVID-19 symptoms, they are able to keep working and undertaking their normal daily practices. They do not have to isolate while waiting for results. Anyone with symptoms must follow the usual isolation procedures and should not be attending work.

NATA accredited laboratories
As with all Melbourne Pathology testing, our laboratories are accredited to the highest international standards by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
