Pre-operative patients and nursing home staff (ASYMPTOMATIC ONLY)
Melbourne Pathology is assisting with the testing of asymptomatic pre-operative patients and asymptomatic nursing home staff requiring COVID-19 testing.
These people can attend one of our collection centres listed below for COVID collection. ONLY asymptomatic pre-operative patients and asymptomatic nursing home staff will be accepted for COVID testing at these sites. Symptomatic patients should attend one of our dedicated COVID collection sites.
Those who meet the above criteria (asymptomatic pre-operative patient or asymptomatic nursing home staff member) MUST also have evidence of their requirement for testing. Vouchers have been provided for nursing home staff, and a letter from their clinician for pre-operative patients. All pre-operative patients must have a pathology referral for testing, in addition to any letter.
Patients can also attend any of our dedicated COVID collection sites or car park drive-thru sites ensuring they have their letter (for pre-op patients) or voucher (for nursing home staff).
